You may recognize her as the one on all of the blogs buzz about but pop-mc and songwriter, HAZEL-E, is quickly being seen as one of the most promising rising stars in Pop/Urban music. HAZEL-E has managed to capture the magnitude of an icon in the essence of her music and yet she maintains her own sound and style.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio but a true life “military brat,” HAZEL-E grew up heavily influenced by pop icons like TLC, Salt-n-Pepa, Madonna, Boy George and the artist formally known as “Prince.”  Each artist, each song, each lyric flamed Hazel-E’s passion for great music and led her to a career path that would quickly put her in front of the mic.  After graduating from Southwest Texas State University, HAZEL-E moved to Hollywood, CA where she pursued an acting career. Soon after, a door to the entertainment industry was opened when HAZEL-E took on the opportunity to work in entertainment publicity. Through her professional experience, she worked with an array of star-studded talent including Tank, Trey Songz, Melody Thorton, Ne-Yo, Ce Lo Green and Soulja Boy. Strategically learning the ins and outs of the entertainment business, HAZEL-E gained the confidence to work the other side of the camera. “I love music,” she says, “I like entertaining, and I love hip hop and all that it encompasses…plus I think I got flow.” Her inner rock-star was born and HAZEL-E officially began her music career in 2008.

Hazel-E vastly became a household name and in 2010, along with actress Megan Good and Sister Lamyia Good, spear-headed the “Valley Girl Movement” by shooting the video for “Valley Girl.” Valley Girl had the internet going nuts and was the talk of every blogger and publication online. At the top of 2011, HAZEL-E followed “Shoe Fetish” with a 2nd mixtape release, “Diary of a Valley Girl,” hosted by Bad Girls Club, Natalie Nunn and compiled by DJ Infamous. Hollywood’s nobles, like LaLa Vasquez,  Affion Crockett, Chamillionaire and NFLer Chris Johnson showed their support and were featured on the album. A continual momentum-builder, the 2011 release of the “Diary of a Valley Girl” mixtape, was a second success for HAZEL-E and caught the ear of music execs in Houston, Texas; which brought her back to her hometown to record her latest EP titled “Girl Code.”
With the streets buzzing and great projects on the horizon, HAZEL-E’s future in entertainment is strong and steady on the rise. Recently, the pop-diva was featured in the New York Post: Page Six for her star studded birthday bash, “Lifestyle Of A Valley Girl Vol. IV” at Dolce in Miami Beach, Fla. “I want to be #1 on all pop charts, I want a Grammy, Billboard, AMA, MTV and a BET award. I want to be multi-platinum, I want to be a major staple in pop culture!” says the song bird-lyricist of her ambitions.
