The Sons of Ol' Dirty Bastard, Big Pun, and Jam Master Jay Appear in Moss' Latest Lookbook

Hip-hop and fashion have always gone hand-in-hand, and Queens-based Moss Clothing celebrates the union in its Fall 2014 lookbook. Shot by the legendary Ricky Powell, who rose to fame as Def Jam's unofficial photographer in the late 80's and early 90's, the Sons of Greatness lookbook features the children of three hip-hop legends who the world lost too soon.

Young Dirty Bastard (son of Ol’ Dirty Bastard), TJ Mizell (son of Jam Master Jay) and Chris Rivers (son of Big Pun) were photographed by Powell in various locations around the Big Apple. The overall aesthetic is gritty, nostalgic, unmistakably New York, and unmistakably hip-hop. The clothing itself is vibrant and colorful, featuring Aztec and paisley-inspired patterns. There's even a playful all-over chicken drumstick print.

In a recent preview on the Moss blog, founder Shahed Serajuddin explained the concept of the lookbook further: "Time and people come to pass, but their influence lives on. When the opportunity recently came about to pay tribute by pairing Ricky, street culture's most iconic photographer, with the children of his subjects of years past. It was a deeply meaningful challenge that I knew I had to take on."
